What Is A Pit Furnace

Pit furnace is one of the main forms of boiler in today's machining production, and the processing effect of pit furnace is better when applied to the spherical treatment of carbon compounds in steel. The reason for this is that this equipment often has a protective atmosphere in production, so that the workpiece can ensure good surface accuracy after completion, and effectively ensure the toughness and stiffness of the workpiece. Based on these advantages, pit furnaces are widely used in social production, and their demand is increasing year by year.

Pit furnaces can be heated with gaseous or liquid fuel, or with electricity. When gaseous fuel is used, there are usually multiple low-energy burners, which are installed along the tangential direction of the inner wall of the furnace, and are evenly arranged in layers or spirals in height to avoid the flame directly washing the workpiece and ensure that the temperature in the furnace is uniform. When used for low-temperature tempering or using oil as fuel, a thin muffle wall is built in the furnace to separate the combustion space from the heating space, but the pit furnace with muffle wall consumes more fuel.
