How To Choose A Quenching Furnace?

Quenching furnaces are a key category of electric furnaces and a popular item at Electric Furnace Factory Store. These custom-designed, custom-designed furnaces are widely used for non-ferrous metal smelting, forging heating, and heat treatment and tempering production lines. So, how do you choose a quenching furnace? Below, Electric Furnace Factory Store will provide detailed answers.

Quenching furnaces are widely popular among customers due to their multiple advantages, including fast heating, high production efficiency, minimal oxidation and decarburization, rapid melting, self-stirring, uniform melting temperature and metal composition, and a favorable electric heating operating environment. Currently, there are three types: pit-type carburizing and quenching furnaces (hereinafter referred to as pit furnaces), sealed box-type multi-purpose carburizing and quenching furnaces (hereinafter referred to as box furnaces), and pusher-type continuous carburizing and quenching furnaces (hereinafter referred to as continuous furnaces). When choosing a quenching furnace, consider the following points:

1. Pit-type furnaces: Low investment, unstable processing quality, poor working conditions due to manual labor, low production capacity, and are suitable for small-batch production.

2. Multi-purpose furnace: This furnace requires a moderate investment, offers stable heat treatment quality, is fully computer-controlled, and operates automatically, requiring minimal operator input and providing a favorable working environment. Similar to pit furnaces, multi-purpose furnaces operate batch-type, allowing for separate production of different products requiring heat treatment technology. They can handle a variety of tasks, such as carburizing, soft nitriding, and tempering. They are suitable for both large and medium-volume production, with a higher production capacity than pit furnaces but lower than continuous furnaces.

3. Continuous furnace: This furnace requires a high investment, boasts large installed capacity, offers stable heat treatment quality, is fully computer-controlled, and operates automatically, allowing for uninterrupted continuous production. While operations are simple for products with the same heat treatment technology, complex differentiation and adjustments are required for products with different heat treatment technology requirements. This furnace is suitable for large-scale production and offers the highest production capacity of the three carburizing furnace types. It also helps address the issue of large heat treatment deformation when using press quenching for thin-walled parts.
